The custom painted Mercedes AROCS produces 450hp and this power is delivered via the gearbox NMV PTO drive directly into the Chipper, hydraulic power for both Chipper and Crane is also via an onboard PTO at the truck. The rear of the cabin is modified by Heizomat giving a perfect, quiet and fully chilled environment to operate the chipper from. NG Bailey also elected to have the optional on board high torque screw splitter for oversize timber. N G Bailey produce a very high quality woodchip and are often being asked by major players in the game to supply premium quality chip for their own customers !! They provide a full chip contract supply service for customers, buying timber in, leaving to dry and then chipping into their own delivery bins and then onto the end customer. With the recent expansion in contracts and volume, the current Chipper and Tractor was coming up for replacement. Looking at the costs now for 400hp tractors, it was not a huge amount more to opt for the whole Chip Truck package.
