SELLING FOR SPARES OR REPAIR, HAS ENGINE FAULT We imported this Unimog in 2000, and it has only had 2 owners in the UK since, the machine was traded in a few years ago against a Unimog U400. We have the full service and parts history on this machine. Currently reg'd as an Agricultural Machine. The engine is a runner, but we think one of the pistons has been holed, as there is a complete mis-fire. We cannot test drive the machine on the road in its present state. The gearbox synchro on forward gear needs replacing. The Unimog was last used with front mounted PTO chipper and a lift platform with rear side tip chip box, the subframe, legs and tipping ram of which are still installed at the Unimog. Hydraulic System, the majority of the hydraulic system on the Unimog is standard, ie , tank, pump etc. The original Unimog spool valve block was replaced with an electric valve block, this was an ON/OFF valve block and non proportional. There is a changeover valve to divert oil to the rear platform base and leg system, the hydraulic system is untested, but was working prior to the engine failure, as the machine was in work when it broke down. Cab has had work in the past, the RH side door is rotten at the bottom , and the drivers side footwell is in need of replacement. The front wing skins where replaced by ourselves relatively recently. The Unimog is high mileage and has been used hard, so this is a project machine, it is in 23:9 high speed diffs from factory. We would have all parts to rebuild the Unimog if needed. Probably by removing the engine and fitting another piston you could get the engine back as it should be.
